Newborn and adolescent males often experience temporary gynecomastia due to the influence of maternal hormones and hormonal changes during puberty, respectively.

The development of gynecomastia is usually associated with benign pubertal changes; in adolescent boys, the condition is often a source of psychological distress. However, 75% of pubertal gynecomastia cases resolve within two years of onset without treatment. In rare cases, gynecomastia has been known to occur in association with certain disease states. Gynecomastia may be seen in individuals with Klinefelter syndrome or certain cancers, with disorders involving the endocrine system or metabolic dysfunction, with the use of certain medications, or in older males due to a natural decline in testosterone production.

Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is the rebuilding of a breast, usually in women. It involves using autologous tissue or prosthetic material to construct a natural-looking breast. Often this includes the reformation of a natural-looking areola and nipple. This procedure involves the use of implants or tissue taken from other parts of the woman's body.

Generally, the aesthetic appearance is acceptable to the woman, but the reconstructed area is commonly completely numb afterwards, which results in loss of sexual function as well as the ability to perceive pain caused by burns and other injuries.

Nipple Surgery

Nipple surgery removes problems associated with enlarged, asymmetrical, protruding or inverted nipples and can be seen in both men and women.
The nipple is made of two parts: the nipple and the areola. The nipple is the projected part and the areola is the dark pigmented skin that surrounds the nipple.

Inverted Nipple Correction - Inverted nipples is the most common nipple correction surgery. Inverted nipples are the result of an imbalance in muscle traction, where the strength of the outward muscle is weaker than the inward, which can be longer or have a stronger pull, causing the nipple to remain retracted.

There are 3 grades of Nipple Inversion, depending on its severity:
1. Grade 1 is whereby the nipple is inverted under the areola but can be manipulated to protrude, however reverts to its inverted state after a few minutes. Grade 1 usually does not require corrective surgery unless it is affecting your confidence and self esteem. Breastfeeding is usually possible.
2. Grade 2 is whereby the nipple is inverted under the areola however can only be forcefully manipulated to temporarily protrude. Breastfeeding may be possible and correction involves surgery on the milk ducts.
3. Grade 3 is whereby, even with vigorous stimulation, the nipple remains inverted. Here, the nipple remains buried in the areola and surgery is required to rebalance the muscle pull.

Nipple Tattooing has its origins as a medical procedure for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy. Generally, it is increasingly commonly used as a cosmetic procedure which began being reported on in early 2013 used to enlarge, darken and define the nipples and areola. Nipple Reconstruction
The nipple may be reconstructed from the surrounding skin at the site desired for nipple placement. The surgeon makes small incisions and then elevates the tissue into position, forming and shaping it into a living tissue projection that mimics the natural nipple. Older techniques, which used donor tissue from the genital region or elsewhere, have become less favored over time. Whether or not you have your nipple rebuilt

Accessory breast tissue, also called hypermastia, is extra breast tissue and is a common developmental phenomenon. It occurs in 2-6% of the general population and can occur in men or women. Accessory breast tissue surgery entails the removal of the excess tissue by a surgeon in order to restore the naturally smooth contours of the body.
There are various steps in surgery like-
The first step is to have a private consultation with NYC plastic surgeon Doctor can help you to decide if this surgery is for you. The surgery is elective if the tissue is not causing you any physical difficulties, but you may feel that you want to remove the excess tissue for purely cosmetic reasons.

.
Years ago, excess tissue was removed through a fairly arduous surgery. Under general anesthesia, the surgeon would make a lengthy incision and remove breast tissue, fat tissue, and excess skin. Scarring was common place.

Now accessory breast tissue removal can removed by liposuction with a minimal incision. The liposuction also enables to feather the underlying fat tissue for maximum contouring effect. If an extra nipple or areola needs removal, it will remove. Any extra skin will be removed with a fusiform excision, a technique that leaves little to no trace.
